Our award entries will open soon. We’ll let you know when it’s time to apply through our newsletter Daily Quota. Sign up under Membership to make sure you receive it. Can we celebrate in coronavirus lockdown?
With lockdowns and uncertainty the order of the day, we’re delaying our awards. And even if we’re in a lockdown then, Quota will create an online party. We’ll send out hampers in advance including table decorations, and special Quota snacks and drinks, while we get together by video conference for the awards. There’ll be a dress code and we’ll be asking you all to post selfies during the ceremony.
The trophies and certificates will be delivered to winners – and again we’ll be asking for the winners to post selfies with them once they arrive.
The rest of our winners’ benefits won’t be particularly affected, otherwise:
- Winners will immediately be welcome to apply their Quota award logo into marketing materials. We’ll provide all the design variations you will need.
- All shortlisted entries will feature in a special print souvenir magazine, which will be included in the ceremony hampers and sent to all guests.
- All winners will be featured in Quota online and interviewed for Quota Broadcast.

Notes for entries
What do we mean by sustainability initiatives in food systems? We mean a plan, a project, a policy dedicated to producing food in a sustainable way. We refer to the three pillars of sustainability from the Sustainable Development Goals, environment, society and economy. This probably means that it has taken into consideration reducing any impact on the climate or the environment generally in its production of food. It probably means fair trading agreements, supporting long-term investment and stability in the food production and sales method. It also considers the social impact of food. And it will contribute to food security.
Quota is not interested particularly in scandal, but more interested in how corporates, policy makers at the government and agency level, and respected researchers honestly address challenges in sustainable food production and seek to address those challenges together.
Strong photography entries will probably represent quite active subjects. However those subjects might not necessarily be confined to obvious food production in the fields. We would like to see corporate bravery and research innovation also reflected in our entries.
