Ethical Policy

Corporate and Social Responsibility Statement

Our Business

Quota’s specialist food systems community embraces the global business, policy and research fields. Our authoritative and unifying take fosters alignment, for improved sustainable global food security.

We at Quota are on the side of food security. This includes the relationship between specialists in environmental sustainability, commodities markets, farming, science, policy makers, and food agencies, whose efforts combine to secure it.

We strive only to publish content of record, contributing to ongoing efforts to achieve food security. If we don’t believe a story will remain relevant, we won’t publish it.

Quota operates auxiliary activities including the production and sale of merchandise, events production and management and awards management. We are backed by private funding.

Values

Quota will, wherever possible, behave as good corporate citizens. We will not deal with any suppliers who knowingly infringe the Modern Slavery Act and aim to select partners who can clearly demonstrate ethical practices in terms of their workforce and the environment.

Workplace, Marketplace, Community and Environment

Quota’s internal code of conduct includes an Anti-Bribery Policy, Anti-Harassment and Bullying Policy, Diversity Statement, Equal Opportunities Policy, and Health & Safety Statement and Policy all to ensure compliance with current UK legislation.

Quota promotes a culture of transparency and collaborative working, where everyone is encouraged to contribute to the success of the business and the qualities we admire in our teams are curiosity, endeavour, collaboration, openness, experimentation and creative thinking.

Staff are encouraged to engage with their local community as well as national campaigns to raise awareness and money for selected charities to promote employee engagement.

Quota is committed to recycling office waste, such as paper, cardboard, ink toners, and electrical equipment. We will, whenever possible, choose the office product with the least environmental impact. We minimise our carbon footprint through limited air travel, choosing public transport and defaulting to locally grown, fresh, seasonal food produce whilst reducing all aspects of food waste.
