Italian Insider reports that the widow of US Senator John McCain is under consideration for appointment by the Biden administration as US Ambassador to the Food and Agriculture Organization and World Food Programme.
Diplomatic sources say Cindy McCain was initially slated to be the Ambassador to the UK. But there is speculation that President Biden will give her the job of representative to the UN food agencies in Rome. She helped him win Arizona at the November election last year, traditionally a Republican state.
