he Food Standards Agency has released guidance to support all businesses in the food system, from primary production through to foodservice and delivery. As the impact of Covid-19 continues to unfold on the food sector, businesses will face fresh challenges adapting to the ‘new normal’ that looks set to continue later into the year.
Guidance is primarily aimed at businesses continuing to operate during the pandemic, to help employers, employees and the self-employed udnerstand how to work safely in the food sector. A new set of issues confront food businesses as social distancing measures need to be maintained in working environments that aren’t designed to provide such space.
