Vogue magazine has covered the concern among Australians for actor Tom Hanks’ bread to spread ratio of vegemite, while isolating after testing positive for coronavirus.
His instagram post showed a layer of vegemite so thick that some Australians quipped he would die from vegemite rather than Covid.
Hanks wrote: “Thanks to the Helpers. Let’s take care of ourselves and each other,” with an adorable photo of an Australian-flag-bearing stuffed kangaroo and Vegemite-slathered toast.
Some Aussies were less than impressed with his liberal use of their local spread.
